Good news for all you swashbucklers - Prince of
Persia: The Forgotten Sands has been given a release date of May 2010. Ubisoft’s latest action adventure is
promising to reveal more within the Prince of Persia universe than ever before. Forgotten Sands is going to be pitched between previous
Prince of Persia games Sands of Time and Warrior Within. The plot involves a family visit has gone a
tad awry; the Prince discovers his brother’s palace under siege by a huge and
hostile army ‘bent on its destruction’. Being the decent Prince brother he must help save the kingdom, but to
what consequence? Making a return is the ever-popular time control mechanic, which is also complemented by the Prince’s ability to control the very forces of nature – sounds interesting. The Forgotten Sands promises ‘classic gameplay reinvented’, from battles with the masses to performing trademark Prince of Persia acrobatics. Ubisoft has said that we can look forward to ‘epic wow moments’ from the game’s blockbuster set pieces. We’ll keep an eye on Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and bring further news before the May release date. |
