Blacklight: Tango Down is a first person squad-based shooter coming to Xbox Live Arcade on July the 7th. Yeah, yeah, we’ve seen loads of squad-based shooters, what makes this one any different from the rest? How about ‘literally trillions of different weapon combinations’?

Zombie Studios, the developer behind Blacklight: Tango Down, have revealed that the six core weapon types can be customised with near-limitless permutations. Gun stocks, magazines, scopes and so on can all be tweaked and tuned to your taste to provide you with your perfect gun. I shall be going for a pink fluffy model with furry dice hanging off the trigger.

At 1200 Microsoft points Blacklight: Tango Down isn’t a bargain-basement Arcade release, however Zombie Studios are promising that their DLC title will be of AAA quality.

The game is set 25 years in the future and is said to be ‘Call of Duty meets Bladerunner’, sounds interesting, particularly if you’re old enough to remember Bladerunner (it was when Harrison Ford was young). With four single player/online co-op multiplayer levels, twelve online multiplayer versus levels, seven game types and a squillion weapons, there should be fun for some time.
