Lisa wouldn’t tell us when she first started playing games for fear it might show you just how old she really is, last time we asked she said 21 but we’re pretty sure with 2 children aged 17 & 11 this isn’t possible. What we can tell you however is she enjoys playing First Person Shooters, Racing and platform games. She set up XboxGameZone in 2004 with two friends and spent 5+ years working full time on the site providing content and regular tournaments including the UK’s first Battle of the Sexes event. Lisa is an Xbox MVP; first awarded in June 2007 she has now held the award 5 consecutive years. While her own personal contributions to the sites content have taken a back seat in more recent years due to her own work in the gaming industry she is still actively involved in the site, its management and content.

Alec is rather ancient, he believes he’s in his mid thirties, but that’s very optimistic, he’s been contributing to XGZ with his inane witter (he calls it wisdom) since 2009. By day Alec is a humble design engineer making things go in and out and up and down (ooerr missus). When the sun goes down, with his four children tucked away in bed and his wife transfixed by morose soap operas, Alec undergoes a transformation… Behold the mighty Acksaw!
Acksaw is a gaming veteran, a virtual soldier that can often be found littering the battlegrounds of Halo with his discarded corpses; his enemies are in awe of his unequalled respawning abilities and sloth-like reflexes. Besides being a bit of a sad old Halo nut, Acksaw is pretty partial to any game where you get to wave a gun around. Acksaw has also been known to show a modicum of talent when it comes to crashing cars into walls, has put his Monopoly skills to use on the occasional RTS title and is accomplished at losing saving throws in RPGs.

Andie started gaming at the tender age of 6, and has never looked back since. A “veteran” of First and Third Person shooters, he also likes to play RPGs, stealth action games, racers, platformers and puzzle games. He takes great pride in getting achievements on Xbox Live (although you’ll never hear him admit that out aloud)
Having been an active member of a variety of gaming communities, these days, Andie can mostly be found posting news to XGZ, battling with WordPress, and tweeting….A LOT!

Stuey has been gaming ever since he cut his first teeth on a Spectrum 48k. He built up a repertoire of skills with an Amiga, fumbled blindly with a NES controller and reached his gaming peak with a Nintendo 64. He enjoys First Person Shooters and any game that allows him freedom to wander aimlessly. His Xbox career kicked off after a blind date with Master Chief, it was love at first sight and Stuey became an Xbox fan, taking part in the Xbox Live beta test in 2003 and joining Clan Blueblood he is now an Xbox Ambassador and Xbox Xpert (God help the world).
He lives a hectic life with his wife, 3 kids and a sweet shop but allows himself a little time to write about his favourite pastime and spend his evenings drunk on Halo.
